ABOUT WIE AFFINITY GROUP OF IEEE SB VJEC
The WIE affinity group of our student branch has never ceased its work towards bringing out the potential among the young women. With its member count of 140, which is regardless of gender, the WIE affinity group has collectively strived to support the aspiring engineers and tech geeks among girls. Its work has not just remained within the student branch but has extended itself to the schools and localities which otherwise may remain technically unsound.
And from now on we intend to take it to yet another level. Providing technical support and knowledge to rural women and girls will be an important task. Sessions will be conducted for girls who would like to or have taken up engineering profession, to increase their exposure to technical advancement. These will be done by seeking assistance from researchers all over the world by video conferences.
